Connectus Hosts Third Predator Event at Yorkshire Wildlife Park
3rd March 2025

Connectus successfully wrapped up its third Predator event at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on 11th February, bringing together businesses to discuss the evolving landscape of cybersecurity. Following previous events at the Royal Armouries in Leeds and Chester Zoo, this latest instalment aimed to demystify cybersecurity challenges and provide practical solutions for organizations of all sizes.
Roy Shelton, CEO of Connectus, opened the event by emphasizing the critical importance of cybersecurity, stating, “Cyber threats impact businesses of all shapes and sizes. Small businesses are not immune, and today we aim to lift the rhetoric around cybersecurity to help protect them.”
With sponsorship from Brigantia, the event welcomed 40 to 50 attendees from various industries. The discussions covered key cybersecurity issues, including phishing attacks, password management, and domain impersonation. A highlight of the day was the exploration of artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity, examining both the risks and opportunities AI presents for businesses looking to enhance automation and efficiency.
Attendees praised the event for its informative sessions and actionable insights. David from DM Residential Estate Agents emphasized the importance of safeguarding client data: “We want to ensure our clients’ data is protected, and today’s sessions provided valuable takeaways.” Similarly, Tracey from Doncaster Knights Rugby Club shared how eye-opening the discussions were: “With so much customer data, it was incredibly useful to understand the level of care needed to protect it.”
The event also featured a keynote from Doncaster Knights Head Coach Joe Ford, who provided an engaging talk on the intersection of cybersecurity and sports.
As the Connectus Predator trilogy concludes, the company reaffirms its commitment to helping businesses stay ahead of cybersecurity threats. A special thanks was extended to Brigantia and Doncaster Knights for their support in making the event a success.
