Completes the acquisition of KTSL.

2021

April – Connectus acquires YouCloud Solutions Ltd.

A strategic acquisition to accelerate Connectus’s desire to be one of the North’s leading IT managed service providers.

YouCloud CEO Mark Wiseman joins Connectus as Group Commercial Director.

November – Connectus reach over 400 contracted clients supporting +10,000 users.

2020

Second round of funding for Connectus

Received a second round of funding from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) and FW Capital Debt Finance.

Opened North West Office at AJ Bell Stadium

Launched the Connectus portfolio of managed services – Connect – Protect – Collaborate.

380 clients across the UK supporting over 7,000 users.

2019

Major Growth

Appointed Roy Shelton as CEO and Pip Shelton as Head of Operations.

Received additional funding from FW Capital along with first tranche of funding from Paul Ruocco and DropJaw Ventures Group.

Acquired Cybersity and formed our cyber security division.

2018

Connectus Group is formed

Eximus acquired from original founders using own funds.

Formed Connectus Group and acquired Eximus Solutions Limited and received funding from FW Capital.

Paul Ruocco appointed as Chairman and Andrew Marsden as Business Development Director.

Roy Shelton appointed NED of KTSL and raises £500k from Northern Powerhouse Investment FUnd (NPIF) via FW Capital Debt Finance.

2016

1st 200 Customers!

Eximus achieve 1,o00 users for UCentrix.

2015

1st 100 Customers!

Eximus achieve 100 paying client status.

2014

VOIP Service Launched

Eximus launch UCentrix, their hosted voice (VOIP) platform.

2013

1st full fibre network

Eximus build their first full-fibre network at Doncaster Sheffield airport.

Roy Shelton
Group Chief Executive Officer

A serial tech entrepreneur, Roy joined Connectus in 2019 and has more than three decades of experience working in technology.

Roy is passionate about growth and scaling the companies he works with by harnessing technology and blending that with and insipiring great teams to deliver on a mutually agreed vision.

In his spare time Roy enjoys yoga, cooking and watching rugby and football with his sons along with raising much needed funds for The Royal Hospital in Liverpool.

Phillippa Shelton
Operations Director (CBS)

Pip is Group Head of Operations at Connectus.

Pip has over 20 years’ experience in Service Management, Service Delivery and Continuous Service Improvement and is an IT Infrastructure Library-qualified Senior Executive, who has outstanding interpersonal and operational skills, with a solid technical background, sound implementation experience of complex projects and an excellent track record within a demanding and SLA-intensive environment.

Pip is passionate about enhancing the customers experience and delivering quality and a world class service.

Andy Marsden
Head of Business Development CBS

Andy joined the business in 2018 to drive growth in revenues for Connectus bringing with him a wealth of experience working with businesses from SMEs to larger enterprises and corporates.

He is passionate about supporting growing businesses with a range of services to ensure their organisations continue to flourish in demanding markets, advising on the best use of technology based on sector, size and business goals.

Andy spends his time meeting businesses across the UK discussing and highlighting the benefits of Ultrafast connectivity and how the adoption of new technologies can make them future ready and agile, driving business benefits.

Duncan Shaw
Head of Client Success (CBS-Gateway East)

Duncan has more than 40 years’ experience in the fast moving telecoms and technology sector, working with the leading hardware and software vendors.

A self-confessed technology enthusiast his breadth of experience spans the full tech mix. With expertise in the design, programming and training of telephony products, he now leads technical innovation at Connectus.

Duncan also heads up the Connectus’ indirect partner channel, working with technology and strategic supply-chain partners.

Greg Buchanan
Technical Director (CBS)

Greg has a rich history of technical innovation and leadership in The Royal Navy and as the MD of two managed services companies which he has successfully exited. Working within the leadership team Greg’s primary role is to drive Connectus’ technical capabilities, provide technical guidance and closely support the engineering teams from a technical and solutions architecture level.
