Connectus delivers record growth, international expansion and major, network and AI investment following breakthrough year
26th May 2026

Connectus Business Solutions has reported a major year of growth after increasing operating profit by 225%, completing its first international deployment in Istanbul and launching a new AI managed service as demand accelerates for cyber security, connectivity and digital infrastructure support.
The Doncaster-headquartered managed IT provider also created new jobs, expanded into North Wales through acquisition, invested £500,000 into full fibre infrastructure at Doncaster Airport and added 149 new customers during a year of sustained commercial growth.
Alongside significant expansion across the business, Connectus maintained high service performance levels, with more than 99% of customer support tickets acknowledged within 15 minutes.
“We have grown profitably, created new jobs, invested in our people and expanded our regional footprint,” said Roy Shelton, CEO of Connectus Business Solutions.
“Every decision we have made this year has focused on strengthening the service customers receive while building a more resilient business for the long term.”
Regional growth and strategic expansion
The business created eight new full-time positions and two apprenticeships across its four office locations while welcoming 149 new customers during the year.
A major milestone came through the acquisition of the assets of Wrexham-based I7 Technologies Limited, safeguarding five existing roles and bringing four engineers into the wider Connectus team.
The acquisition significantly strengthens Connectus’ position across North Wales, Shropshire, North Midlands and Cheshire, with the business now securing a new five-year lease on Wrexham Industrial Estate to support further expansion in the region.
In Greater Manchester, Connectus also renewed its lease at Salford’s CorpAcq Stadium for a further three years, reinforcing its long-term commitment to customers across the North West.
First international deployment completed in Istanbul
Connectus completed its first international project during the year, delivering a large-scale Wi-Fi and connectivity deployment in Istanbul for a leading e-commerce provider across distribution and customer care facilities.
The project marks an important step in the company’s wider growth ambitions as demand increases for complex managed connectivity solutions.
Service performance maintained during rapid growth
While expanding across multiple areas of the business, Connectus maintained consistently high operational performance levels.
During 2025/26, the company resolved 6,752 customer support tickets through its round-the-clock omni-channel support operation.
Of those:
99.51% were acknowledged within 15 minutes
98.22% were resolved within four hours
93.4% were resolved remotely without requiring an engineer on site
Investing in AI, cyber security and digital infrastructure
As customer demand around cyber resilience and AI adoption accelerated, Connectus expanded its managed cyber security and compliance offering through increased investment in proactive protection and monitoring services.
The company also launched Evolve, a new managed AI service designed to help organisations adopt AI technologies safely, efficiently and cost-effectively with expert implementation support.
Away from client services, Connectus invested a further £500,000 into a full fibre network at Doncaster Airport and the surrounding Gateway East Business Park, enabling gigabit-capable connectivity across the entire site along with driving the further deployment of sustainable energy at their offices.
The company also added new vehicles to its fleet to support faster on-site project delivery for customers across the UK.
Industry recognition
The year also brought significant industry recognition.
Connectus won SME Business of the Year at the Doncaster Chamber Awards, was shortlisted for Yorkshire’s Fast Growth Company and CEO of the Year in both Yorkshire and the North West by Business Insider Magazine, and was ranked the 37th fastest-growing technology company in the UK by GP Bullhound.
“For nearly two decades, Connectus has focused on making IT simpler, safer and more effective for businesses,” Roy added.
“That remains our purpose, and the opportunity ahead is significant. Businesses are navigating growing pressure around cyber risk, AI adoption and connectivity, and they need partners who can respond quickly, strategically and reliably. We intend to keep being that partner.”
