CONNECTUS KICKS OFF 2024 BY STRIKING GOLD

10th January 2024

Business focused UK ISP and Managed Service Provider (MSP) Connectus has struck gold for sustainability.

The Doncaster-based tech firm received a Gold Sustainability verification from Alcumus.

The Safe Contractor Gold verification, reinforces the commitment that has been made by the tech specialist to meet environmental and social value targets.

With the Government accelerating its goal to meet net-zero by 2050, two thirds of SMEs say they are prioritising sustainability over the next 12 months, according to recent research. The same report found that active sustainability initiatives are inextricably linked to growth, with 79 percent of growing businesses regularly renewing their ESG targets, compared to just 53 per cent of those who were struggling.

Pip Shelton, Operations Director at Connectus, said: “At Connectus, we place a huge emphasis on social value and always strive to enhance the communities in which we are working. Our Social Value and Environment policies are embedded in everything we do, so it’s fantastic to have our efforts recognised with further accreditation.

“As we continue our growth journey, being a Gold provider will give all of our current and future clients an increased peace of mind that all of our projects and staff adhere to the highest standards.”

Details of the award come just months after Connectus – which is building gigabit speed full fibre networks around Gateway East Doncaster, Wirral and Liverpool waters, Media City, and other selected business parks across the north of England – was awarded Safe Contractor accreditation.

The safe contractor awards certification was granted following a lengthy and detailed audit of all of Connectus’ currently existing safety systems.

It is based on records from thousands of projects which have been safely delivered over the past 17 years of trading by Connectus, which is acclaimed for providing services which boost connection, protection, and collaboration for its clients.

Last year it was announced the company had secured new funding with Time Finance in a deal which will help the company expand and grow even further.

Connectus will use Time Finance’s revolving credit facility to help fund an “exciting new phase” of our development that is set to include expansion, additional staff hires and new acquisitions.
